The Junee Town Band and Community Choir will perform a selection of the ever popular Gilbert and Sullivan musical hits.
Gilbert and Sullivan’s musicals have remained popular for nigh-on 150 years and the Junee Town Band and Community Choir are joining together during the 2017 Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival to perform a selection the most popular tunes from the favourite productions, including;
- “I am the very model of a modern Major-General”, The Pirates of Penzance
- “Three little maids from school are we”, The Mikado
- “On a tree by a river” (“Willow, tit-willow”), The Mikado
- “He is an Englishman”, H.M.S. Pinafore
The Athenium’s new grand piano will also feature prominently throughout the days various performances, accompanied by various solo vocalists.
The CWA will be onsite selling freshly baked snacks and home cooked refreshments during the various intervals throughout the day. Plus there will be a number of market stalls out on Broadway, including Jewellery, Crafted Pens and Wine Tastings.
Cost: $10 pp. Children under 12 Free. Refreshments available.
