Rhythm N Rail 2018 Festival Preparations Building Steam

The planning for the 2018 Rhythm N Rail festival is underway with an enthusiastic team on board. The Rhythm N Rail Festival Association met last week and have started the groundwork to make the 10th anniversary of the festival an event packed weekend.

The Festival looks to grow with plans to build on the successful elements of last year, with more rhythm and rail, and a bigger and better parade to showcase Junee and our community. One of the highlights from last year was the Charity Auction raising a fantastic amount for Make-A-Wish® Australia, due to the generosity of Paul and Sharon and their team of skilled tradespeople at Hotondo Homes and the suppliers who contributed to building the amazing Mini Cottage Cubby House.

After the success of the Charity Auction last year the Rhythm N Rail Festival Association would like to offer the opportunity to another local charity to hold an auction as part of the 2018 Festival. Please email your contact details to the Festival Association at juneerhythmnrail@gmail.com to register your charities interest.

The association meets again on Tuesday 10 October 2017 at 6pm at the Junee Ex-Services Club. Anyone interested in playing a role big or small in planning and preparations for the festival events, or on the weekend of the festival are welcome to come along.

The Second Weekend in March each year sees the township of Junee, NSW transform into a hive of activity with thousands of visitors and local residents joining the celebrations of Junee’s unique rail heritage and to dance to the rhythm of the tracks. In 2014 the Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival was the winner of the NSW Inland Tourism “Community Festivals and Events” Award.

The Junee Rhythm and Rail Festival is a community-organised major event. March 9-11 2018 will be the Festival’s Tenth Anniversary.
