ALL SET: The Lachlan Valley Railway steam train will run a one-way trip to Junee this Friday ahead of the 2014 Rhythm and Rail Festival.On March 5, 2014 the Cootamundra Herald published an article titled “Steam train in town this Friday” which covered the Lachlan Valley Railway commencing their 2014 steam season with a run from Goulburn to Junee, to position the train for the 2014 Junee Rhythm and Rail Festival weekend.
The festival train departs Goulburn at 11.30am this Friday, stopping at Yass Junction, Harden and Cootamundra before arriving into Junee just before the 6pm opening to the festival.
One-way fares are available for each of these sectors of the journey, with the trip timed to connect with the northbound XPT to bring passenger up from Junee and Cootamundra to Harden, and return Yass and Goulburn passengers home.
