Railpage published an article on February 8, 2008 letting readers know that Junee was celebrating its rail history and artistic talent with the first Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival to be held 7-9 March 2008.
It mentioned that there would be vintage 1928 Tin Hares arriving from Cowra on the Friday and that the “Mark Twain Boree Creek Express” hosted by Tim Fischer may run on the Saturday.
Proceeds from the festival would go to local branches of CanAssist and Save the Children Fund as well as to local community projects.
