Lachlan Valley Railway is proud to return to the 2018 Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival, providing a fully restored, heritage diesel locomotive hauling classic carriages — with windows that actually open!

All trains will offer one-way fares to allow you to choose to return to your point of origin straight away or allow some time to take part in the various Festival activities.

A time to suit everyone!

There are morning trains on Saturday and Sunday departing Junee and Wagga Wagga.
Afternoon and evening trains on Saturday and Sunday departing Junee, Wagga Wagga and Cootamundra.

Highlighted trips include:

  • Morning departure from Wagga Wagga each day, allowing 4 hours in Junee to enjoy the festival before the return from Junee;
  • Midday extended trips over the Bethungra Spiral to Cootamundra;
  • Sunday 1.30pm trip from Cootamundra allowing over 4.5 hours at the Festival before the 5.15pm return from Junee.

 

Cost: Ticket Prices start from just $7.50 for a Child, one-way sector (from $15 return); from $12.50 for an Adult, one-way sector (from $25 return); and from $27.50 for a Family of 2 adults & 2 children, one-way sector (from $55 return). We suggest you Pre-purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Festival, from the temporary LVR office on the Junee Station Platform (next to the Waiting Room).

Remember to book tickets for Return Trip as well!!! All tickets are sold as One-way legs. Full instructions on how to pre-book your return leg are included on LVR’s booking site.

Lachlan Valley Railway Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival 2018 Trains

 

 

Unfortunately, Lachlan Valley Railway have had to CANCEL ALL TRAIN SERVICES on Friday, March 9, 2018. If you were booked on any of these services LVR will contact you to discuss options, including refunds or transferring to another service.

The LVR Heritage Train Services are STILL RUNNING on Saturday and Sunday.

The Wagga Wagga Railway Heritage Association operates 3 venues around the Wagga rail precinct. These include the Station Museum, Gang Sheds and Model Trains.

Over the 2018 Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival Weekend, anyone who presents a LVR train ticket to the friendly team at the Wagga Wagga Station Museum will pay only $1 entry fee to the Station Museum, Gang Sheds and Rest House (Model Trains)

The Museum and associated buildings will be open for it’s regular 11am to 2:00pm time on Friday, March 9, 2018 plus extended hours of 11:00am to 6:00pm Saturday March 10 & Sunday March 11, 2018. Note: It will NOT be open for the Night Trains, however, Night train tickets are still valid for the discount if you visit the Museum during their opening hours
